Hace unos dias en un blog de MSDN (sitio exclusivamente para desarrolladores de MS) se publico un articulo que habla sobre la próxima versión de Windows, allí se hablo de que la siguiente versión sera totalmente diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados y que cambiaría la forma de utilizar una PC. Además aclararon que la próxima versión no se llamara “Windows 8″ como se decia en la web, por ahora solo Windows.next como nombre inicial.

Misteriosamente el articulo fue borrado por la gente de Microsoft, al parecer no querían que el mundo se enterara tan pronto de la noticia. El articulo por el momento quedo almacenado en la cache de Google, por si desaparece se los dejo a continuación:

Whats in store for the next Windows?

One of the great (or maybe not so great) things of being at Microsoft is that every other person wants to ask you why Windows works the way it does. Since I’m part of the Windows update team I get asked even more why does my machnie reboot everytime there is an update and why are there so many updates. So naturally once Windows 7 shipped, my friends, neighbours, relatives, and whoever else you can imagine started asking me So whats next?

Folks started asking me whats in Windows 8 – and the first thing I have to say is that I resonate Steven Sinofsky’s interview on who said we’re calling it Windows 8? I agree with Steven that till things are baked there is no point floating ideas since it leaves people frustrated when things don’t turn out the way they expected. The Windows team promised to deliver a smarter, faster and more user friendly OS with Windows 7 and they delivered just that – the latest quaterly results of Microsoft are a clear indication that Windows 7 has been a success and customers got what Microsoft had promised them! The plan is to use a similar approach for the next version of Windows and till things are finalized you’re not going to get a “marketing” name from us

So how am I referring to the next version of Windows without saying that many words – well simple – Windows.next This is definitely not the official version but a version that is becoming common along my circle. So what are our plans for this next version…

The minimum that folks can take for granted is that the next version will be something completly different from what folks usually expect of Windows - I am simply impressed with the process that Steven has setup to listen to our customers needs and wants and get a team together than can make it happen. To actually bring together dozens and dozens of teams across Microsoft to come up with a vision for Windows.next is a process that is surreal! The themes that have been floated truly reflect what people have been looking for years and it will change the way people think about PCs and the way they use them. It is the future of PCs…

Thats about it for this post for the time being – I know I’m not sharing much at this point but right now I can’t as we work towards finalizing that vision. Feel free to post your comments on what you think Windows.net should be like!

En fin ya conoceremos mas detalles en un futuro no muy lejano

Aunque te parezca mentira entre cientos y cientos de Bill Gates que hay en la red social Facebook se encontraba el original Bill Gates. Pero de ahora en mas todos los que hay son cuentas truchas ya que el “tío Billy” a decidido cancelar su cuenta en Facebook por que según el esa red social no hace mas que causarle problemas.

(Esta captura me causa mucha gracia)

Bill Gates dice que se retira de Facebook por “exceso de amigos”, dijo que tenia mas de 10.000 personas para agregarla como amigo y que día a día esa cifra iba aumentando. Por tal motivo, cancelo su cuenta para no tener molestias de este tipo.

Una noticia no importante, pero que suma.

Hace unos meses Google AdSense ofrecía la oportunidad de agregar bloques de anuncios en los vídeos que nosotros subamos a YouTube, pudiendo así ganar algún Dolar extra. Dias mas tarde aparecieron los primeros videos con bloques de anuncio, mas tarde casi todos los videos populares tenian los bloques de anuncio, y de ahi conozco a gente que le fue mal (ganando centavos por mes) y a gente que le fue genial (ganando bastantes Dolares por mes).

Pero hoy cuando entro a mi cuenta de AdSense para crear un nuevo bloque para el blog me encuentro con este mensaje:

La pregunta del millón: ¿Que paso?, quizás a la gente le pareció muy molesto ver enlaces de publicidad en los vídeos de YouTube y se quejaron.

Curioso… y algo raro.

Echaron de su trabajo a una joven británica de 16 años por publicar en su perfil de Facebook que su trabajo era aburrido. La joven dice que el caso es insólito y fuera de lo común.

La joven, llamada Kimberley Swann, publicaba en la herramienta “Que estas haciendo ahora?” mensajes que hablaban mal sobre su trabajo. En su primer día de trabajo publico “Mi primer día de trabajo, que horror”, días mas tarde también publico “Estoy aburrida en mi trabajo” y a los pocos días publico “Mi trabajo es aburrido”.

Desgraciadamente el jefe de la empresa la encontró en Facebook y leyó los mensajes publicados por la joven, y seguido a esto le envió a la joven la siguiente carta:

“A la vista de sus comentarios en Facebook sobre el trabajo y la compañía, creemos que es mejor que, como no está contenta, terminemos de inmediato con su empleo en Marketing & Logistics”

Esto traería mucha polémica, organizaciones gremiales británicas criticaron el hecho de que empresarios busquen en las páginas personales de sus empleados un justificativo para echarlos. La joven por su parte ya estaría iniciando un juicio hacia la compañía.

He notado que cada vez salen a la venta chicles o gomas de mascar realmente insólitas, ya muchos incluyen un poco de jugo en su interior y otros que realmente son tan asquerosos que te hacen picar la lengua, o también hay otros que al masticarlo se sienten como pequeños estallidos en la boca (este generalmente se usa para hacer bromas a amigos), en fin, hay para colores y gustos. Pero entre tanta porquería que sacan ¿no se les ocurre hacer uno sabor Chocolate?

Esa es la pregunta que yo me hago al ver tantos chicles de diferentes sabores, unos ya conocidos como el Tutti Frutti, Menta, Banana, y Frutilla, y otros mas insólitos como por ejemplo uno sabor LemonCola (que es horrible), el de Coca-Cola (que también es horrible, nada que ver con la gaseosa), y otros mas que también son horribles y algunos hasta duros de masticar.

Sin duda que un chicle sabor chocolate va a tener un gran éxito mundial, imaginate reemplazar una barra de chocolate por un chicle sabor chocolate, seria algo extraordinario. ¿Ustedes que opinan?
